About Me

I am a Daughter of God.  I am chosen to do great exploits beyond my own capabilities.  I worship an amazing God who over and over again has marked me with His grace.

I come from a small town in North Carolina where I grew up in a Pastor's home with a loving family.  From infancy on, all I have ever known is the lifestyle of ministry in the Church.  At age 10, God clearly showed me that going to Church and being apart of a Christian family wasn't enough to count as a relationship with Him.  A choice had to made- one only I could make.  I realized even at a young age, that following Jesus would cost me something- maybe more than I wanted to give, but that God had a plan for my life that would go beyond my wildest dreams.  At age 10, I gave Him my heart and began my journey.

My calling to the Nations began in 2009.  I was a rising Junior at Montreat College and the Lord gave me a dream of being in an airport.  I could see a Brazil flag and my Church youth group preparing to board a plane.  Shortly after, my Church announced that the Youth would be going to Brazil for their summer mission trip.  I quickly called my youth Pastor and told him my dream.  He asked me to be a leader on the trip and I reluctantly agreed (I had little faith in my ability to lead anything!)  When we arrived in Brazil, I was told that I would be trained for a few days and then brought into different Churches to preach and minister to others.  I was terrified. To think I would have to stand up in front of a congregation of people and lead an entire service sent me over the edge.  I can remember praying the whole entire trip "Please God, don't let me mess this up.  I'm too young.  Too inexperienced.  Too wounded.  You're going to have to do this!"  Oddly enough, my first ever real ministry experience in another Nation fell on my 21st Birthday.  God moved in powerful ways and changed my world.  During my training time, a minister told the story of Heidi Baker, a remarkable laid-down lover of Jesus who started a huge ministry in Mozambique, Africa.  When he told her story, I began to sob.  I could feel the Holy Spirit speaking to me, yet I refused to respond because I was afraid of responding to an "emotional experience."  I wanted to know for sure it was the voice of God. The minister made a call to the front to those who thought they may be called to the nations, I gripped my chair, sobbing.  He then asked anyone who had a friend up at the front, called to the nations to come and pray for them.  I came forward to pray for my friend and when I did, the presence and voice of God came upon me so strong, I could not stand.  He said "GO JORDAN!  You are called!"  He began to speak entire continents to me, and various nations all around the world.

Since then I have been to Haiti with AIM to serve as a summer Project Leader, as well as Fiji and Kiribati to train and equip pastors and leaders.

It is time for my next step.  In September of 2013, I will be launching into full time Missions.  My first step will be moving to Gainesville to be apart of CGA (Center For Global Action), which focuses on Discipleship, Community, and Apprenticeship.  After my time there, the sky's the limit.  I am taking one step at a time in FAITH that God is moving all around the world and He desires for me to be apart of it through serving the Nations.
